A big win for Big Blue has been marred by a broken leg.

Andre Brown, who has emerged as the primary complement to Ahmad Bradshaw, suffered a fractured fibula in Sunday’s 38-10 win over Green Bay.

Takes an awful lot off of the win,” coach Tom Coughlin said after the game, via Hank Gola of the New York Daily News.

The injury occurred during a 16-yard run from Brown, his longest of the night.

Brown’s status isn’t clear. Though it’s being regarded by some as a season-ending injury, Brown declared on Twitter, “People the season not over yet!!!!

The absence of Brown opens the door for first-round rookie David Wilson to find his way onto the field and out of Coughlin’s doghouse. “When I was a rookie I told David that [Derrick Ward] broke his fibula and I had to step in and be a big part of our offense,” Bradshaw said. “That’s what I expect from David. I told David just to get ready for the weeks to come. I think he can be a big part of our offense once we get him going.”

Brown has 385 yards rushing this season. He churned up 113 in place of Bradshaw during a Week Three thrashing of the Panthers.
