The Arizona Cardinals could see the return of defensive end Calais Campbell and tight end Todd Heap this Sunday as the team tries to end a seven game losing streak against the New York Jets.

Campbell has missed the last two games for the Cardinals with a calf injury. Arizona’s defense isn’t the reason the team has lost seven straight games. The Cardinals defense ranks seventh in the league allowing 327.9 yards per game. Campbell is a key cog of the defensive front.

Heap has missed almost the entire season for Arizona. Heap has missed the Cardinals’ last nine games with a lingering knee injury but was a full participant in practice all last week leading up to Arizona’s game against the St. Louis Rams.

According to the team’s official site, head coach Ken Whisenhunt says Heap “is just about to the point where he can play now.”

With the struggles of the offensive line -- including losing Lyle Sendlein for the season -- and a revolving door at the quarterback position, the return of Campbell and Heap may not make much difference in the Cardinals’ attempt to snap the losing streak.
