Dogged earlier this season by questions regarding whether his best days were behind him, Andre Johnson has turned in a couple of the best days any NFL receiver has ever had.
For that, he has been named the AFC offensive player of the month for November.
Johnson, now in his 10th year, led the conference with 35 catches, 614 receiving yards, and 614 yards from scrimmage. Along the way, the Texans went 4-0.
He finished the month by generating 461 receiving yards in a pair of games played only four days apart.
Johnson is the second Texan to be honored with a player-of-the-month award this season. In September, defensive end J.J. Watt was named his conference’s defensive player of the month.
Johnson previously won the award in October 2008.
