When Titans coach Mike Munchak said there would be no more coaching changes after he fired offensive coordinator Chris Palmer, he apparently meant outgoing.

The Titans have added former Colts offensive coordinator Tom Moore to the staff as an offensive consultant for the rest of the season.

He’ll be a resource for the staff,’’ Munchak said, via Jim Wyatt of the Tennesseean. “A guy who has spent 38 years in the NFL. He has been a part of every type of offense. . . .

“This was his first day to meet the players and get a feel for what we are doing. We’ll just take it day by day and I’m sure he’ll be a good fit for all of us.”

Moore spent 12 years as offensive coordinator with the Colts during the Peyton Manning era, and has also done some consulting for the Jets.

The 74-year-old will likely stay nearby new offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains, who took over for Palmer.

“We thought because we did need a helping hand, he’d be a great fit for that,’’ Munchak said. “He’ll be a helping hand in a lot of ways and he has a lot of things he can add. He has a lot of experience in general. No real title, he’ll just help us as an offensive assistant.”

If Loggains and quarterback Jake Locker are smart, they’ll absorb everything he has to say the rest of the season.
