Stewart didn’t make trip to KC with Panthers

Such that it matters, they’re going to play a football game in Kansas City tomorrow.

But when the Panthers line up against the grieving Chiefs, they’ll do it without running back Jonathan Stewart.

Stewart didn’t make the trip with the Panthers, according to Jonathan Jones of the Charlotte Observer. He was doubtful with an ankle sprain anyway.

That gives the starting job back to DeAngelo Williams, and will open the door for more of a role for fullback Mike Tolbert.
