Vikings coach Leslie Frazier didn’t sound particularly optimistic Wednesday when asked if wide receiver Percy Harvin’s season was over.
“Hard to say,” Frazier replied, via Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com. “Hard to say.”
There was some thought Harvin might test his left ankle today, but that didn’t happen. Harvin suffered a torn ligament in his ankle on Nov. 4 against the Seahawks, and hasn’t completed a practice since then.
Frazier didn’t offer many specifics, or even rule out that Harvin would play this week against the Bears, saying only he’d know more on Thursday.
But that seems like a stretch at this point.
The Vikings clearly miss him, as their offense has no other significant downfield threat. He leads the team with 62 catches despite missing the last three games, with Michael Jenkins second with 30.
