The Bengals are kicking the tires on three kickers today, with Mike Nugent unable to go in practice because of an injury.

According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, they’ll audition Josh Brown, Neil Rackers and Billy Cundiff for cover.

Nugent didn’t practice Wednesday because of a calf strain, and left the field early during the morning walk-through.

The Bengals have won four straight and are firmly in the AFC playoff chase, tied with the Steelers for the final playoff berth if the season ended today.

Which it doesn’t, which is why the Bengals are trying out kickers.
