No one’s ready to make an official declaration, but it appears the Texans are going to be closer to full strength for Monday’s game against the Patriots.

Cornerback Johnathan Joseph and linebacker Bradie James practiced again Friday, and Joseph said he was “absolutely” ready to play.

“It’s a long week. We’ve still got three more days before we play,” Texans coach Gary Kubiak said, via Dale Robertson of the Houston Chronicle. “All the steps have been positive. He did more today than yesterday. The same thing with Bradie. They’re heading toward playing, but we’ve got to be smart with them.

“If they all come out of practice fine tomorrow, they should be ready to go. But’s not like they took 100 percent of the snaps today.”

Joseph has missed the last two games with a hamstring strain. Getting him back would be a huge boost for a banged up secondary, in a game with significant playoff seeding implications.
