Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III may not be injury prone. But his style of play makes him contact prone.
And he has just sustained contact that has knocked him out of the game.
Hit while running the ball, Griffin’s leg whipped violently on a hit from Haloti Ngata. He limped off the field, and he was replaced by Kirk Cousin for one play.
After that one play, Griffin returned to the game. And completed a pass to Santana Moss for a key first down.
UPDATE 4:03 p.m. ET: Griffin has now left the game, after limping badly throughout his return.
