Panthers up 16-0 at halftime, Falcons forgot to run

You assume the Falcons did some advance scouting for this game.

If they did, maybe their players and coaches didn’t read the report.

The Panthers are up 16-0 on the Falcons at halftime, in a game the NFC South champions are sleepwalking through.

With one Panthers starting defensive tackle on IR (Ron Edwards) and another inactive (Dwan Edwards), you’d think the Falcons would run the ball. Instead, they have thrown 11 passes and only run twice. They’ve only had the ball three times, and haven’t done much with it.

They’re still in this one because the Panthers settled for three short field goals, chances they may regret later when the Falcons make their inevitable comeback.
