Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan is known for running his mouth. The officials on the field in Cincinnati today decided that they heard enough.

Ryan walked out onto the field to yell at the officials about what he thought should have been a flag on Bengals offensive tackle Andre Smith for holding Cowboys defensive lineman Sean Lissemore, but instead of throwing a flag on Cincinnati, the officials flagged Ryan for unsportsmanlike conduct.

It’s not clear what Ryan said, but the officials’ reaction makes one wonder whether an F-bomb was involved.

On the same drive, the Cowboys lost rookie cornerback Morris Claiborne to what appeared to be a head injury when Claiborne got sandwiched while making a tackle. The medical personnel brought a stretcher out, and players appeared to be very concerned, but Claiborne did manage to get up and walk off the field.

Now the Cowboys need Ryan to remember to stay off the field.
