Needing to add some bodies to the backfield for their surprising playoff run, the Colts signed running backs Mewelde Moore and Deji Karim Tuesday, placing Donald Brown and fullback Robert Hughes on injured reserve.
Injuries have kept Brown from being the “bell cow” back the Colts envisioned, limiting him to 417 yards on 108 carries this year.
Bringing Moore back to a roster spot created by Hughes flips a move from earlier this year. Karim had been waived-injured by the Colts in September.
