Only one player scored any points in Sunday’s Raiders-Chiefs game, so it’s unsurprising that that player won an AFC player of the week honor.
Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski, who kicked five field goals in Oakland’s 15-0 win over Kansas City, has been named the special teams player of the week.
Janikowski was good from 20, 50, 57, 30 and 41 yards, and his 57-yarder was his longest of the season. Janikowski now has 42 field goals of 50 or more yards in his career, tied with John Kasay for the second-most in NFL history. (Lions kicker Jason Hanson has the most in NFL history, with 52.)
This is the seventh time in Janikowski’s 13-year career that he has been named AFC special teams player of the week.
