The Pittsburgh Steelers had already ruled out wide receiver Mike Wallace, tackle Mike Adams and cornerback Curtis Brown from being able to play in the team’s season finale against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

On Saturday, the Steelers placed all three on injured reserve.

Wallace suffered a hamstring injury during the Steelers loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last week. Adams has missed the last four games for Pittsburgh dealing with an ankle injury. Brown also had an ankle issue.

Pittsburgh promoted receiver David Gilreath and defensive tackle Alameda Ta’Amu from their practice squad and claimed defensive tackle Hebron Fangupo off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks.

Ta’Amu, a fourth-round pick of the Steelers, was released by the team after a two-game suspension for a drunken driving incident in October. He was re-signed to the team’s practice squad.

Gilreath has played in three games for the Steelers this season. He does not have a reception but does have one rush for seven yards.

Fangupo spent most of the season on Seattle’s practice squad before being promoted to the active roster prior to last week’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. He was released by the Seahawks on Friday.

Wallace finishes the season with 64 catches for 836 yards and eight touchdowns for the Steelers.
