After Vikings running back Adrian Peterson came up nine yards short in his effort to set the single-season rushing record, he had a message for the current holder of the record, Eric Dickerson.
“I’m coming for you,” Peterson said to Dickerson, via Peter King.
There’s a way Peterson can come for Dickerson without waiting until September. Peterson can make an assault on the single-game postseason rushing record of 248 yards.
Held by, you guessed it, Eric Dickerson.
Peterson rushed for 210 yards at Lambeau Field on December 2, in a game in which he was used sparingly down the stretch. As a rookie in 2007, he set the single-game rushing record of 296 yards.
