Bieniemy could be running backs coach in Kansas City

Bieniemy

Eric Bieniemy left an NFL job with the Vikings two years ago to become the offensive coordinator at the University of Colorado. Now, he could be heading back to the NFL.

John Henderson of the Denver Post reports that Bieniemy “is under strong consideration” to become running backs coach of the Kansas City Chiefs.

The move would reunite Bieniemy with head coach Andy Reid; Bieniemy was a player in Philly during Reid’s first year as head coach there. It also would bring Bieniemy back together with Brad Childress, who hired Bieniemy in Minnesota and who is expected to join Reid’s staff as an adviser.

Bieniemy’s offense at Colorado finished 116th in the nation.
