  1. From the CLeveland Plain Dealer’s Terry Pluto:

The bottom line on this hiring is Chudzinski has an extensive NFL assistant coaching background. He also has displayed the ability to adapt to his talent – and that is a good starting point for picking someone who has never been a head coach before.

I’m on board with this decision, the article continued to compare Chud’s work history with Tomlin and others, including Shurmer. Shurmer’s history pales in comparision.

  2. It’s easy to be skeptical about a HC hire, especially if it’s someone who’s new. Obviously, it’s going to be 50/50, it’ll either work out or it won’t. Given what I’ve read and heard about Chud, though, I’m optimistic. Sure, it’ll take a little time, but I’m hoping to see immediate improvement at least.

At least give Joe Banner and JH3 credit for being deliberate in their search instead of being impulsive (not unlike previous owner Randy Lerner).

We Browns fans have put up with a lot over the years, it’s high time we finally got someone at the top who seems to know what he’s doing.
