Battery charges against Dolphins safety Jonathan Amaya have been dropped, according to the Miami Herald.
Amaya was arrested in November and charged with choking a taxi driver. But public records showed that prosecutors notified the court earlier this month that they wouldn’t pursue the charges.
Amaya’s attorney, Edward O’Donnell, told the Miami Herald in December “Jonathon Amaya never laid a hand on this man, never touched him, never threatened him. When a full investigation is made, we believe charges will be dropped.”
He was right, and Amaya’s name is now cleared.
