Pro Football Hall of Famer Dan Marino has admitted that he is the father of a 7-year-old child with a production assistant he worked with at CBS.

When the New York Post questioned Marino about rumors that he had a child with a former coworker, Marino provided the paper with a written statement confirming the story and saying that he has taken care of his child while also staying married to his wife of 28 years.

This is a personal and private matter,” Marino said. “I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved. My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years and have six children together. And we continue to be a strong and loving family.”

Marino, who will work the Super Bowl pregame show on Sunday, has reportedly paid millions of dollars in child support.
