Cromartie says Jets need to add game changers on offense

Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie is the latest to weigh in on what’s wrong with the team’s offense.

Cromartie was one of the few Jets who made the trip to New Orleans for Super Bowl media appearances (after spending a season in a circus of a locker room, most of them wanted to avoid the circus that is Radio Row), and he said it’s time for the Jets to put together an offense that can threaten opposing defenses.

“A lot of people look at our offense [and] they’re not intimidated by our offense,” Cromartie told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. “We need some guys on the outside that can be game changers. . . . It’s going to help having Santonio [Holmes] back, but I think we also need a true No. 2 guy also ready to go.”

Considering that Cromartie thinks he’s the second-best receiver on the team, it’s not surprising that he thinks the Jets need a new No. 2 receiver.

It would also help if the Jets had a better quarterback throwing to that new No. 2 receiver, but Cromartie wisely avoided getting into that.
