An early shot by Ravens safety Ed Reed on 49ers tight end Vernon Davis had an impact on both players.
Davis was getting checked out by trainers on the sideline, and Reed just went into the locker room with team medical personnel.
The game has been a hard-hitting one on both sides, but the Ravens would come out on the short end if those two players are out for any amount of time.
UPDATE 7:03 p.m. ET: Reed just jogged back onto the field and headed to the sideline, and they just announced Davis was probable to return with an elbow.
