Jacoby Jones bought a bunch of couches last night

Jacoby Jones earned a place in Super Bowl history with his record-breaking 108-yard kickoff return.

But somebody got a free couch out of the deal, too.

According to Jill Rosen of the Baltimore Sun, a local furniture store had to give away $600,000 worth of furniture after a promotion in which customers who bought stuff between Jan. 31 until 3 p.m. Sunday would be refunded if the Ravens returned a kickoff for a touchdown to start the game or third quarter.

That was amazing!” Gardiners Furniture posted on its Facebook page right after the Jones touchdown. “Furniture is FREE! If you made a purchase this weekend, it’s your lucky day. Go Ravens!”

The store’s advertising and marketing manager, Kasee Lehrl, said she couldn’t believe it happened.

“We’re obviously thrilled,” she said. “So exciting. . . .

“It’s great for the Ravens, great for our customers and great for Gardiners.”

It’s better for the people who got free furniture, and only bad for the insurance company that has to pay off on the policy the store bought against such an event happening.
