Sharrif Floyd, Dion Jordan blaze through their 40s

Oregon’s Dion Jordan and Florida’s Sharrif Floyd might have run themselves into the top 10 picks in the NFL Draft this morning, if they weren’t there already.

Floyd, a 297-pound defensive tackle, ran his 40s this morning in unofficial times of 4.93 and 4.87 seconds. While those will get adjusted (as yesterday showed us, perhaps down by as much as a tenth of a second), they’re still blazing for a man his size.

Jordan’s size is another issue, as he’s gained weight to get into the 240s, and will likely need to add more after he has shoulder surgery.

But the fact he ran his 40s in an unofficial 4.53 and 4.63 will overshadow that, and is already earning him comparisons to Aldon Smith from the NFL Network’s Mike Mayock.
