Falcons keep safety William Moore for five more years

Well, Big Brother’s memo about not leaking deals has apparently worked, as the only things being announced are things that could have been announced a week ago.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Falcons have retained safety William Moore with a five-year deal.

In Moore’s case, the legal tampering window had some function, because it likely gave him a few hours to gauge how others teams valued him, before realizing the Falcons valued him more highly.

The Falcons needed the stability in the secondary, after churning their corners by cutting Dunta Robinson and letting Brent Grimes hobble into free agency.
