Dolphins focusing on Mike Wallace

Of all the potential 2013 free-agency moves, the most obvious involves the Miami Dolphins targeting Steelers receiver Mike Wallace.

According to Mike Garafolo of USA Today, the Dolphins spent the first two days of the legal non-tampering tampering period doing just that.

The Dolphins also are talking to Rams receiver Brandon Gibson as a Plan B in the event Wallace becomes someone else’s plan A.

And that’s a wise move. Over the past few years, the Dolphins have become the team that helps set the price for the deal that eventually gets done, both for coaches and for players. This time, however, it won’t be a surprise if the Dolphins find a way to get the man they have been coveting -- especially with a stadium renovation referendum looming.
