When it comes to naming streets after people, there’s no name more fitting for the honor than Driver.

According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the recently-retired Packers is moving closer to getting his own road. The city’s Plan Commission voted unanimously to recommend naming a portion of Pearl Street “Donald Driver Way.”

Driver, who arrived in 1999 via round seven of the NFL draft and spent his entire career in Green Bay, initially preferred “Lane” to “Way.” He has since changed his mind.

We would have picked Donald Driver Drive.
