The Packers could use a running back, and Peyton Hillis could use a job. So perhaps Hillis will land in Green Bay.

It’s at least a possibility, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Hillis is visiting the Packers.

After a breakout season in Cleveland in 2010, when Hillis had 1,177 rushing yards, 47 receiving yards and 13 total touchdowns, Hillis has been a disappointment the last two years. In 2011 Hillis quickly wore out his welcome with the Browns while averaging 3.6 yards a carry, and in 2012 Hillis tried and failed to re-energize his career in Kansas City, also averaging 3.6 yards a carry and gaining just 309 yards as a backup.

Hillis has become such a forgotten man that there’s been no buzz around him in free agency at all. But perhaps Green Bay can be his fourth stop in the NFL -- and the place where he turns his career around.
