The Chargers re-signed exclusive-rights free agent kickoff returner / wide receiver Richard Goodman on Wednesday, the club said. Goodman signed his one-year tender offer from the club.
The 25-year-old Goodman’s impact for San Diego has primarily been on special teams. He averaged 27.6 yards on 18 kickoff returns in 2012. A hamstring injury limited him to seven games.
In 2011, Goodman returned 34 kickoffs for 936 yards (27.5-yard average), including a 105-yard touchdown against the Raiders.
