Earlier Wednesday, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Cardinals and Browns free agent returner / wide receiver Josh Cribbs had just about agreed to a deal.

Then there was the matter of Cribbs linking to a photo collage on his verified Twitter account with the caption: “It’s been a blessing to be in Cleveland, wishing the best to the city & the Team. If I could stay I would...”

However, PFT has learned that no deal between the Cardinals and Cribbs is imminent.

In fact, as it stands now, a deal is far from consummated.

UPDATE 11:31 p.m. ET: Rapoport reports that Cribbs has picked Arizona but that no contract is imminent.
