The Steelers were scrambling for quarterbacks last year when Ben Roethlsiberger was injured, but have made a move to lend some stability to the position Wednesday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Steelers signed Bruce Gradkowski to a three-year deal Wednesday morning.
The local product, who played for the Bengals last season, set up a quick visit. The Steelers needed to get younger there, with elders Charlie Batch and Byron Leftwich both unrestricted free agents.
The 30-year-old Gradkowski lends a bit of stability there, rather than the Band-aid and hope plan they had before.
