Running back Rashard Mendenhall has at least a couple of teams interested in acquiring his services for next season.

The Denver Broncos were already among the teams interested and the Arizona Cardinals are getting a look from Mendenhall as well. Per Albert Breer of the NFL Network, Mendenhall landed in Arizona Tuesday night and is expected to meet the Cardinals on Wednesday.

As we reported earlier Tuesday, Denver is still the likely destination for Mendenhall.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers first round pick appeared in just six games last season while recovering from an ACL injury. He was also suspended by the team for a game for failing to show up for the Steelers game against the San Diego Chargers when he was told he wouldn’t suit up for the game.

He had his most productive season with the Steelers in 2010 when he carried for 1,273 yards and 13 touchdowns.

  1. Please don’t sign this douche bag. It has been a miserable off season for Cards fans so far. This would just add to the misery. He is terrible on and off the field…

  2. He could sign with the Baloch Nushki football club in Nushki, Pakistan. He’d be at home there.

  3. Looks like no matter who is coaching the Cards they continue the annual hiring of Steeler castoffs. Being a Cards fan, maybe they should look at Terry Bradshaw and see if he will come out of retirement jeez!
