On Friday, we tried to sift through conflicting reports on whether free-agent defensive end John Abraham visited the Dolphins.
Since then we were told by a very good source that Abraham did indeed visit the Dolphins. Another source confirmed that the visit happened.
As best we can tell, the visit occurred Tuesday night. And because the Dolphins didn’t sign Abraham, the Dolphins have no reason to trumpet the failure to get their man, since that would disrupt the perception that the Dolphins went undefeated during early free agency in a different way barely 40 years after their 17-0 season.
The former Falcon has visited the 49ers and Seahawks, along with the Patriots. Other potentially interested teams include the Saints, Titans, and Buccaneers.
