Jets keep Nick Folk

Nick Folk is set for another year as the Jets’ kicker.

Folk, who had been the Jets’ kicker for the last three seasons but entered free agency without a contract, re-signed with the team today.

Last season Folk made 21 of his 27 field goal attempts, with a long of 54 yards. He doesn’t have a particularly strong leg on kickoffs, with just 12 touchbacks on 68 kickoffs.

A year ago Folk had to beat out Josh Brown in training camp, and it’s possible Folk will have a training camp challenge again this year, but at the moment he’s the only kicker on the Jets’ roster.

  1. Thats good except Malone the punter will get most of the work this season.Jets don’t plan on using Folk much.

  2. Solid move. That along with butt fumbler, Wrecks, Mornhinbreath and Mevis…the pieces are in place for another Super Bowl run.

  3. Considering the fact the jets offense will be lucky to get past the 50 next season, i guess it doesnt matter that kicker you keep. Im just surprised they didnt give tebow the job.

Rex should be guaranteeing a SB win any moment now!

Why, did Rex predict a Super Bowl last season?
It doesn’t matter, the Dolphin fans claimed this week they will win the Super Bowl.
Professor Ross gave Wallace $30 mill guaranteed! Brilliant!
Jennings got $18 million guaranteed and he’s better.
Besides, Ross needs the money to buy up those orange seats to avoid more blackouts.
