Louis Murphy’s NFL ride has now taken him from little blue pill to Carolina blue to Big Blue.
Murphy has agreed to terms with the Giants, per a source with knowledge of the situation. It’s a one-year deal.
A fourth-round pick in 2009, Murphy spent three years with the Raiders before being traded to the Panthers. He showed promise as a rookie, and he actually improved his production in his season season. But Murphy became largely forgotten in 2011.
During his one season with the Panthers, Murphy caught 25 passes for 336 yards and one touchdown in 16 games, with five starts.
