  1. more than likely Marvin is referring to stripe hype… probably the worst “nfl” website I’ve ever read…. ignorant writers that don’t know anything about football and write opinions as facts…

  2. Said Bengals coach Marvin Lewis when asked why some fans are down on LB Rey Maualgua, “Because they look at some dumb ass web site that doesn’t have any idea of what football is.”

Or, we can look at Ray himself on video and form our opinion that way, jackass.

  3. Marvin Lewis is an idiot! You don’t have to be an expert to know Rey Maualuga couldn’t cover a statue and RB’s blow right by him ala Trent Richardson!

  4. I don’t think the bengals should have brought Rey Maualuga back but I respect the coaches (Lewis, Zimmer) for having a players back who’s confidence is in the dumps after getting destroyed.

  5. the tape dont lie marvin. just be honest marvin. its cheaper to sign 1st an 2nd round bust and resign your own below average players. turn on the playoff tape.

  6. Single funniest sentence ever to appear on this site: “The Titans hope QB Ryan Fitzpatrick never has to play this year.”

  7. im not sure if its just me or not. but when i look at these oneliners everyday the vikings seem to hardly be in there…

  8. Marvin is just letting off steam… the same way Bruce Coslet did so in the 90s when Coslet accosted the media by saying, “I’m an NFL Coach, who are you!?!!”, when the media challenged him. Coslet resigned a couple weeks later.

Marvin is walking a tightrope. He knows the management is destroying the chance for a Superbowl team, willing to take a step or two back to save a few buck because their primary competitors, the Steelers and Ravens, were decimated in free agency.

The fact is the players, like Dalton, Green and Dunlap will see this and want out of town in 2014. The Bengals’ attempt to sign Shovel McCa$h is being noticed by the players.

They are back to their basic problem. They are not in it to win it.
