The Wichita State men’s basketball team upset Gonzaga on Saturday to advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2006.

Among those offering their congratulations to the Shockers: Jets quarterback Tim Tebow.

According to USA Today’s Lindsay Jones, a private plane carrying Tebow stopped at Wichita’s Mid-Continent Airport to refuel, and while he was on the ground, he stopped by the Shockers’ team bus to wish them well.

“Just go out there and ball out,” Tebow said. “Leave nothing on the court.”

It’s a noteworthy moment because of the team’s success and Tebow’s celebrity.

It’s also a nice gesture.
