The Bears made improving their offensive line an offseason priority, but they’ve brought one of the incumbents back
The team announced they had brought back free agent tackle Jonathan Scott with a one-year deal.
Scott started seven games for the Bears last year. He’s bounced through stints with the Lions, Bills and Steelers as well, and figures to be a backup option.
The Bears found their left tackle on the first day of free agency by signing Jermon Bushrod, and it’s hard to imagine that being the only upgrade this offseason.
