Daryl Smith was always viewed as a durable and dependable player for the Jaguars, before playing just two games last year because of a persistent groin injury.
But while the Jags haven’t made a move to retain one of their longest-serving players, others seem willing to give him a chance.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the free agent linebacker is visiting the Rams today.
Smith was a second-round pick of the Jags in 2004, and missed just four games in his first eight seasons. The 31-year-old linebacker should still be able to help a team if he’s well, as he’s always played at a consistent level.
