Nassib joins PFT Live after busy week

Nassib

It’s two weeks and change until the draft, and change is the key word for teams who don’t have franchise quarterbacks. Several of them spent the past few days working out on of the top quarterbacks in the 2013 draft pool, Syracuse’s Ryan Nassib.

Nassib has worked out for the Browns, Bills, and Jaguars in recent days. He’ll join PFT Live on Monday morning to discuss his preparations for the draft, his college career, his private workouts, and whatever else comes up.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Jaguars and Bills sent large throngs to Nassib’s workouts. Jacksonville G.M. Dave Caldwell, coach Gus Bradley, offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch, and Tony Khan, the team’s senior V.P. of football technology and analytics (and the son of owner Shad Khan) attended Nassib’s workout for the Jaguars. Likewise, the Bills sent CEO (and basically surrogate owner) Russ Brandon, G.M. Buddy Nix, assistant G.M. Doug Whaley, coach Doug Marrone, offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, and coordinator of college scouting Doug Majeski.

We’ll use far fewer employees for today’s PFT Live interview. Then again, the next five-to-10 years of the business aren’t riding on whether we draft him.
