Bernard Scott didn’t get a chance to head into free agency with a good head of steam.

His season ended in Week Two with a torn ACL, leaving him to rehab in the shadows while other players got to burnish their resumes ahead of hitting the open market. Scott’s recovered enough to show teams that he’s ready to resume his career and he’ll be hitting the road this week to do just that.

Mike Garafolo of USA Today reports that Scott will be in Oakland to visit with the Raiders on Wednesday. Scott will go through drills to show the Raiders that his knee is sound. If they agree, Scott could fill a complementary role to Darren McFadden that opened up when Mike Goodson signed with the Jets.

Scott ran for 1,035 yards and four touchdowns during his four years with the Bengals and Garafolo reports that a return to Cincinnati could be in the cards. He’s expected to meet with them in the near future as well and the Bengals are believed to be in the market for a back or backs who can provide a speedier option than BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
