After signing a kicker earlier on Thursday, the New York Jets appear to have added another specialist to the roster.

Former Boston College and Chicago Bears punter Ryan Quigley tweeted that he is joining the Jets.

Quigley was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Bears last season and played extensively in the preseason while Adam Podlesh was sidelined with an injury. He made the Bears 53-man roster out of training camp but Podlesh was healthy enough to play in the season opener and he was released the following week.

With Robert Malone as the only other punter on the roster, Quigley could have a legitimate chance to compete for the job this offseason. Malone averaged 45.8 yards per punt for the Jets last season.
