A relatively quiet offseason for the NFL’s legal docket had a blip on the radar screen Thursday.
According to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Falcons safety William Moore has been arrested for simple battery.
“We are aware of the situation involving William Moore and are in the process of gathering more information,” a Falcons spokesperson told Ledbetter. “Because this is now a legal matter, the club will have no further comment at this time.”
Moore signed a five-year, $30 million deal last month to remain in Atlanta. He’ll now be spending some of that money on a person who has “Esq.” in his or her title.
