PFT Live: Filling a need vs. drafting the best player available

Mike Florio and Shaun King discuss the idea of filling a need versus taking a player you want. With the new CBA in place, the draft has become an inexpensive way of immediately upgrading your roster. The biggest mistake a team can make is to reach for a position they need. By doing so, they’re not drafting the best player available and there is a good chance the position they tried to fill will need to be addressed the next year.
