Jaguars still not interested in Tim Tebow

When David Caldwell became the Jaguars’ General Manager in January, he made it pretty clear that he had no interest in adding Tim Tebow to the roster.

“I can’t imagine a scenario where he’d be a Jacksonville Jaguar,” Caldwell said.

Neither his imagination nor that of the rest of the organization has moved in a different direction with the word that Tebow’s short and fruitless stay with the Jets has come to an end. Jim Woodcock, a spokesman for Jaguars owner Shad Khan, emailed Jon Saraceno of USA Today to make it known that the Jaguars remain uninterested in bringing Tebow back to his hometown.

“The Jacksonville Jaguars’ plans do not include Tim Tebow,” Woodcock wrote.

The Eagles, Buccaneers and 49ers have all joined the Jaguars in announcing their intention to avoid Tebow. The Jets made the same statement by releasing him and we’re assuming the Broncos aren’t looking for a reunion, which establishes a trend that might make the chance to compete for a backup job in Montreal look pretty appealing.
