We found out the name of the most intriguing member of the 49ers’ crop of undrafted free agent signings shortly after the draft when British discus thrower and football neophyte Lawrence Okoye announced that he’d signed with San Francisco.

Okoye may be the biggest name (and among the biggest players) added to the roster, but he isn’t the only one. The 49ers announced their full list of undrafted rookie additions on Tuesday, a list that included a player making a position switch from college.

MarQueis Gray played wide receiver and quarterback at Minnesota, but will join fellow Big Ten product Denard Robinson (drafted by the Jaguars in the fifth round) in making a move to running back at the professional level. Gray ran plenty in college, gaining 1,731 yards with the Golden Gophers, but he’ll have to master his new role in order to continue his playing career with the defending NFC champs.

The other 10 players signed by the 49ers are: Tennessee State center Sherman Carter; Stanford fullback Alex Debniak; Boise State running back D.J. Harper; Utah State wide receiver Chuck Jacobs; Azusa Pacific tackle Luke Marquardt; UCLA long snapper Kevin McDermott; Texas State cornerback Darryl Morris; Michigan guard Patrick Omameh; Wyoming defensive tackle Mike Purcell and Tulsa cornerback Lowell Rose.
