Jaguars sign pair of undrafted rookies after tryouts

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed running back De’Leon Eskridge and defensive end J.D. Griggs Monday the pair of undrafted rookies joined the team for rookie mini-camp on a tryout basis over the weekend.

Eskridge played last season at San Jose State after spending his first three seasons at the University of Minnesota. Eskridge ran for 1,060 yards and 11 touchdowns during his senior season. Griggs played the last two seasons at the University of Akron. He recorded 41 tackles with 11 for loss and six sacks last season for the Zips.

The Jaguars released linebacker Greg Jones and running back Richard Murphy to make room for the pair on the roster.
