Police are still investigating alleged McCoy assault

McCoy

When the LeSean McCoy camp responded to assault allegations contained in a civil lawsuit filed against the Eagles running back, it was declared that “[t]here are no criminal charges pending and no probable cause was ever found.”

But that could still change, since the criminal investigation reportedly is ongoing.

According to ESPN.com, New Jersey State Police are still looking into the incident. Sgt. Brian Polite told ESPN.com that the plaintiff reported being on the bus rented by McCoy traveling from New York City back to Philadelphia, that she claims she was shoved to the ground, that she contends she was struck with a liquid, and that she contends she was removed from the bus. However, the criminal report does not repeat the allegation that McCoy actually struck the woman or physically removed her from the bus.None of this means McCoy will be charged, but the case apparently hasn’t been closed.
