At some point soon, receiver/kick returner Josh Cribbs will sign with the Raiders. For now, he can’t because the Raiders currently have 90 players.

As explained by Paul Gutierrez of CSNBayArea.com, the Raiders mistakenly left long-snapper Nick Guess off the team’s roster entering last weekend’s rookie minicamp, which means that instead of having 89 players they actually have 90.

Which means that they have to make a roster move in order to clear a spot for Cribbs.

It’s not a huge issue, given that every team has a cluster of undrafted free agents and assorted slappies populating the bottom of the roster. But the Raiders nevertheless must drop a player before they can officially add Cribbs.

Until then, he in theory can sign somewhere else. But that’s not likely.
