The Falcons have come to terms with UCF safety Kemal Ishmael, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Thursday.
One of the Falcons’ three seventh-round picks, the 5-foot-11, 206-pound Ishmael would most likely figure as a backup behind starters William Moore and Thomas Decoud should he make the final roster.
As a senior at UCF in 2012, Ishmael was named Defensive Player of the Year by the coaches of Conference USA. According to school statistics, Ishmael notched 124 tackles (68 solo), forced three fumbles and intercepted three passes in his final collegiate season.
