Chiefs fans can exhale and enjoy the weekend.

Running back Jamaal Charles had to leave practice early Friday with a toe injury, but he’s apparently going to be fine.

According to Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star, X-rays on Charles’ right foot came back negative. The injury happened when another player stepped on his foot as he came through the line.

He might even be back by next week’s minicamp. In the interim, the Chiefs gave rookie Knile Davis some snaps with the first offense.
